Timbertop Estate recently hosted a Royal High Tea for members of the community to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday. The High Tea aimed to raise essential funds for the Cancer Council through various amusing and entertaining activities throughout the event.
It was a lovely morning with the weather on our side. It was fantastic seeing so many members of our community getting involved in such a great cause. Many of our residents in attendance brought along delicious home-baked goods to share with their fellow residents.
With a coffee van on site, residents were treated to a delightful caffeine boost with a range of hot beverages on offer. With the little ones entertained by a variety of stimulating activities, the parents could have a much needed catch up and mingle with fellow members of the community.
The highly anticipated raffle was also drawn with 6 lucky winners receiving prizes donated by Gumbuya World, Berwick Potteries and Parklea Developments.
We also had a “Guess how many Jellybeans in the Jar” competition, with 1 lucky person guessing the correct number of 493 jellybeans to win the jar.
Most importantly it was fantastic to see the Timbertop Community join together and help Cancer Council raise vital funds that go towards cancer research, support services, prevention programs, and advocacy. Together we raised $521 which is a fantastic amount and one Timbertop should be proud of.
Timbertop would like to thank everyone who donated, baked goods, and attended the morning tea, we couldn’t have done it without you!
