Residents’ Group VP – Stephen Birch

Interview with Stephen Birch, Vice President

Why did you volunteer to be a member of the Timbertop Residents Committee?

I have been a part of the Timbertop Residents’ Group Committee since it started in 2014.
I have a real passion and interest in creating a local community that is safe and welcoming for all.

What are you looking forward to most in this role?

I am looking forward to helping the other committee members understand their roles and responsibilities. I am also looking forward to shaping the Timbertop community into a welcoming and safe place.

What do you hope to implement or change for Timbertop residents?

The biggest thing we do as a Residents Committee is organising events and networking gatherings, which I intend to continue to help expand this year. This is a great opportunity for new residents or even existing residents to meet each other in a fun and safe environment.

What are your interests and hobbies outside of the Residents Committee?

I work full time, which often sees me travelling around Australia and sometimes to a different country. My daughter plays soccer and I really enjoy getting involved in her soccer through coaching. I love spending time with friends and family.

What message would you like to share with Timbertop residents?

The Residents Committee is a group of people who volunteer their time and effort to create a better environment to live, work and play at Timbertop. I would encourage people who have never heard about the Residents’ Group Committee to go the Timbertop website ( and read through our Residents’ Group page, like us on Facebook and attend our monthly meeting.
